1. Definitions
- "Service" โ the in-home elderly care programs offered by Calmridge.
- "User" / "Client Family" โ any individual or family engaging Calmridge services or using this website.
- "We" / "Us" / "Our" โ Calmridge, No. 120, Section 1, Changchun Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei 104, Taiwan.
- "Care Recipient" โ the elderly individual receiving care under a Calmridge program.
- "Agreement" โ these Terms together with any signed service engagement documents.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, signing a service agreement, or continuing to use our website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age with legal capacity to enter a binding agreement. If engaging services on behalf of a family member, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Service Description
Calmridge provides in-home elderly care services in Taipei and surrounding districts, including Social Engagement Visits, Medical Appointment Management, and the All-Inclusive Home Wellness Program. Services are subject to availability and geographic reach. We reserve the right to decline an engagement where we assess the needs as outside our service scope.
4. User Responsibilities
When engaging our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the care recipient's health, routines, and needs
- Maintain a safe and respectful home environment for our care team
- Communicate promptly if the care recipient's situation changes significantly
- Pay service fees on the agreed schedule
- Not request our staff to perform duties outside the defined service scope without prior agreement
5. Service-Specific Terms
Social Engagement Visits: Sessions are scheduled in advance and billed per visit. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at 50% of the session fee.
Medical Appointment Management: Billed per appointment. Includes accompaniment within Taipei metropolitan area. Specialist travel outside this area may incur additional fees agreed in advance.
All-Inclusive Home Wellness Program: Billed monthly. A minimum engagement of one month applies. Notice of termination must be provided at least 14 calendar days before the next billing cycle. Monthly family review meetings are scheduled within the first five business days of each month.
6. Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and are inclusive of service tax where applicable. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and cash. Invoices are issued at the start of each service period. Late payment beyond 14 days may result in service suspension pending settlement.
Pricing in effect as of February 2025: Social Engagement Visits NT$8,200 per session; Medical Appointment Management NT$14,200 per visit; All-Inclusive Home Wellness Program NT$55,000 per month. Prices are subject to annual review with 30 days' written notice to active clients.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website โ including text, structure, logos, and design โ is the property of Calmridge. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Care documentation prepared for a client family is shared for that family's personal use only.
8. Disclaimers
Calmridge provides personal and social care services, not medical treatment. Our team observes and reports health-related concerns but does not replace the role of licensed physicians, nurses, or medical specialists.
This website and its content are provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not warrant that all information is complete or current at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Taiwan law, Calmridge's total liability for any claim arising from the use of our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service period in which the issue arose.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of earnings or third-party claims, unless caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Calmridge harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, provision of inaccurate information, or any actions that result in harm to our staff or third parties.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a service engagement by providing written notice as specified in the relevant service terms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services immediately if the safety of our staff is at risk or if payment obligations are materially breached.
Upon termination, outstanding fees for services rendered remain payable. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us at [email protected].
If informal resolution is not reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any signed service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right in the future.
- Assignment: You may not assign rights or obligations under this Agreement without our written consent.
14. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Active clients will be notified by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
