Calmridge company

About Calmridge

A company built around the dignity of aging.

We started with a simple conviction: that growing older at home — with proper support — is both possible and preferable for most people. That belief still shapes how we work today.

Our Story

Rooted in family, shaped by experience.

Calmridge was established in 2016 in Taipei by a small group of healthcare and social work professionals who had spent years watching families struggle to coordinate meaningful care for aging relatives — often without enough guidance, time, or support.

The founders recognized a gap between institutional care settings and the informal, ad-hoc arrangements most Taipei families were trying to manage on their own. Calmridge was designed to occupy that middle space: professional, organized, and genuinely attentive to the person at the center of it all.

Over the years, we've grown steadily through word of mouth — families recommending us to other families. That is the kind of trust we work to maintain with every relationship we build.

Our Mission

To support older adults in living comfortably and with a sense of purpose in their own homes, while giving their families the reassurance that comes from knowing care is consistent and thoughtful.

Our Approach

We never treat care as a checklist. Every person has their own rhythms, histories, and preferences — and our role is to work with those realities rather than impose a uniform structure.

Our Values

  • Honesty and transparency with families at all times
  • Respect for the elder's autonomy and preferences
  • Continuous learning and professional development
  • Cultural sensitivity, particularly within Taiwanese family contexts

How We Work

Quality and care standards we hold ourselves to.

These aren't policies we wrote to sound professional — they reflect the way our team approaches their responsibilities every single day.

Staff Verification & Screening

All care personnel undergo thorough background checks, professional reference verification, and role-specific competency assessments before joining any client engagement.

Structured Care Documentation

Every visit or session is recorded in a care log accessible to the supervising team. Patterns or concerns are flagged promptly to the family liaison.

Data Protection Compliance

Client data is handled in full compliance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act. Health records and care notes are stored securely and shared only on a need-to-know basis.

Ongoing Professional Development

Our care team participates in regular training covering topics such as dementia awareness, elder nutrition, and effective family communication.

Family Involvement Protocol

We keep family members involved at every stage — from initial assessment through regular check-ins — so that you remain fully informed and your feedback genuinely shapes the care provided.

Regular Care Plan Reviews

Needs evolve over time. We review each care arrangement on a scheduled basis and update it when circumstances change — with or without prompting from the family.

In-home elderly care in Taipei: what it means in practice.

Taiwanese families navigating care for an aging parent face a particular set of pressures. Work schedules, living arrangements across different districts, and a healthcare system that works well but demands active coordination — all of these factors make it difficult for families to provide the level of day-to-day attention that older adults often need.

At Calmridge, we work specifically within Taipei and its surrounding districts. Our team understands the local healthcare environment, speaks with families in plain terms, and builds relationships that are meant to last for the long term — not just for a few weeks during a recovery period.

Whether a family is looking for a few structured visits each week or a fully managed home care arrangement, what matters most to us is that the senior at the center feels known and respected — and that the people who love them feel they can rely on us.
